    Security Certified Program

    Security Certification

Our exciting new Security Certified Network Specialist (SCNS) certification is a must-have for IT pros that are entering the world of security. One new course, SCNS Tactical Perimeter Defense will prepare students for the Tactical Perimeter Defense exam. This Instructor-Led course is designed to be completed in 5 days, with intense, practical labs.

The Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP) program will give a network administrator the additional hands on skills needed to protect their network from the inside out. The second course in the SCP line-up leads to a certification of Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP). SCNP-Strategic Infrastructure Security picks up right where Tactical Perimeter Defense leaves off and maps directly to the SIS exam. This Instructor-Led course is designed to be completed in 5 days, with intense, practical labs.

The Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA) program is about trust. The SCNA focuses on the following topics: Law and Legislation issues, Forensics, and Wireless Security. Both the SCNA Advanced Security Implementation and SCNA Enterprise Security Solutions courses are required for SCNA certification.

Learn how ICI Systems along with the Security Certified Program can help individuals add network security to their skill set. People with security certifications receive consistently higher base salary, bonuses, and raises as compared with other, less specialized IT positions. The Security Certified Program offers THREE certifications to validate your security skill set. Our SCP program is also for those individuals who must comply with DOD Directive 8570. Call your ICI Systems Account Manager at 202.887.0510 to learn more about the SCP Certifications.

    Tactical Perimeter Defense

The first Security Certified Program (SCP) security course is a vital course for any network technician who has even the slightest privileged access to a network. This five day instructor-led course is designed to help students gain not only the required critical knowledge, but the security skills to utilize that knowledge in defending their network perimeters.

Based on feedback from our customers and Authorized Training Partners, for the first time ever SCP will offer a certification for passing the test for Tactical Perimeter Defense. The new certification is called Security Certified Network Specialist (SCNS).

Tactical Perimeter Defense replaces the previous Hardening the Infrastructure course. The new Tactical Perimeter Defense course uses Windows Server 2003 and SuSe Linux Enterprise 10 as the base operating systems.

The SCNS exam is designed to validate the critical skills required by IT and security professionals. These skills include, but are not limited to: Network Defense Fundamentals, Advanced TCP/IP, Routers and Access Control Lists, Designing Firewalls, Configuring Firewalls, Configuring Virtual Private Networks, Designing an Intrusion Detection System, Configuring an Intrusion Detection System and Securing Wireless Networks.

    Strategic Infrastructure Security

The Strategic Infrastructure Security course picks up right where Tactical Perimeter Defense leaves off. The second course in the SCP line-up leads to a certification of Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP). It will give a network administrator the additional hands-on skills needed to protect their network from the inside out. This course teaches you about prevention techniques as well as an understanding of risk analysis and security policy creation in a blended technology environment. The up-to-date security lessons and intense, hands-on labs provide real-world network security training.

The SCNP exam is designed to further validate the critical skills required by IT and security professionals. These skills include, but are not limited to: Cryptography, Hardening Linux Computers, Hardening Windows Computers, Ethical Hacking Techniques, Security on the Internet and World Wide Web, Performing a Risk Analysis, Creating a Security Policy and Analyzing Packet Signatures. Strategic Infrastructure Security replaces Network Defense and Countermeasures with updated technology and intense, hands on labs.

    Advanced Security Implementation

Our Advanced Security Implementation course is a five day, instructor led class that is perfect for those individuals who wish to take their security skills to the next level. In this course, candidates will learn how network security is moving towards trusted communication, and how defensive schemes alone are not enough. Dealing with the most exciting and critical areas of security, our ASI course specifically addresses digital certificates, digital signatures and Biometrics.

The ASI Course is designed to validate the foundational skills required by architect level IT and security professionals. These skills include, but are not limited to: introduction to trusted networks, cryptography and data security, computer forensics, law and legislation, biometrics, strong authentication, digital certificates and digital signatures.

    Enterprise Security Solutions

IT Security professionals who wish to remain on the cutting edge of their security career must continue to acquire knowledge and hone their skills. These professionals are aware that the defense provided by the firewall and IDS alone, while required, are not enough.

The ESS Course is designed to validate the foundational skills required by architect level security professionals in an enterprise environment. These skills include, but are not limited to: trusted network implementation, planning and designing a trusted network, Microsoft trusted networks, Linux trusted networks, managing certificates, local resource security, wireless security, securing Email and building trusted solutions. The timely information and hands-on labs allow candidates to experience the applications within a teaching environment.

The Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA) certification requires the passing of two exams. To achieve the SCNA credential, candidates must achieve passing scores on both exams. The first exam is titled: Enterprise Security Implementation (ESI). The ESI exam tests on knowledge and skills acquired in both the Advanced Security Implementation and Enterprise Security Solutions courses.

Finally, to achieve the coveted SCNA certification a candidate must pass The Solution Exam (TSE). This exam covers material learned in all 4 of the SCP courses. The Solutions Exam is an exciting and challenging exam that is entirely scenario-based.
